E-Sports challenge kicks off today with the support of Youth and Sports Ministry

KUALA LUMPUR:  Electronic Sports Malaysia partnership with Youth and Sports Ministry will kick start Esports MyStay@HomeChallenge, today, April 9.

The online tournament will see 13 states joining. The tournament will take place from April 9 to April 14.

On a Facebook posting, Youth and Sports Minister, Reezal Merican Naina Merican said “ I was informed around 3,000 groups registered for the tournament. But only 1,920 qualified to participate in the tournament.

“For those not selected, please don’t be upset. Look out for future e-sports tournament. Insha Allah.

“To all players who will participate, I wish all of you Good Luck. Don’t forget to stay at home and we will defeat COVID-19”.

According to a press statement, two games will be used in the tournament, Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Player Unknown Battleground Mobile.
