KUALA LUMPUR — A RM1,000 cash prize and the chance to compete in an international eSports competition awaits the winner of the inaugural edition of the one-day Malaysia National eChallenge Tournament tomorrow.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), through its latest Facebook posting, said the FIFA20 online electronic sports tournament also had the cooperation of the Kuala Lumpur Esports Association (ESKL) and Gamesbond as well as the support of ESports Malaysia (ESM).
FAM explained that the winner would then team up with a national footballer to represent Malaysia at the FIFA eNations Stay & Play Cup on April 21.
The national governing body revealed that competitors would have to play the game from their respective homes due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) until April 28.
