Non-Muslim PAS support group welcomes new Kedah MB

KUALA LUMPUR – Dewan Himpunan Pendukung Pas (DHPP) welcomes the new government formed in Kedah, after Jeneri state assemblyman Muhamad Sanusi Md Nor was appointed by the state ruler.

According to DHPP secretary S.Barathidasan, he congratulates and wished success for the incoming Menteri Besar of Kedah.

DHPP is a non-muslim support group within the PAS political party which is widely regarded as a Muslim based party.

Barathidasan added that Muhamad Sanusi is a person who is proactive to settle peoples’ problems and listen to the ground.

At the same time, he hoped, the newly appointed Kedah Menteri Besar should be given a chance to help all walks of life in the state and promote sound policy that will continue to develop the state benefitting everyone.

Earlier, Mukhriz Mahathir on Sunday announced his resignation as Kedah’s chief minister with immediate effect.

Mukhriz said this was after he had lost the majority support in the state legislative assembly.

He also thanked all state and federal government staff whom he said had cooperated well in the efforts to realise the state’s approach and policies throughout his leadership.
