Perak’s AgroPrihatin extends helping hand for farmers

 

IPOH: Perak state government today launched Agro Prihatin scheme to help all the affected farmers due to Movement Control Order.

Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said that Perbadanan Pembangunan Pertanian Negeri Perak (PPPNP) will allocate RM 1 million to buy agriculture items mainly fresh vegetables and fruits failed to sell in usual market place.

According to a video clip on Facebook MB Perak Faizal Azumu, the state government will help those farmers registered with the state agriculture department, FAMA and PPPNP.

“The purchase will be done through cash method to help liquidate the goods instantly for the farmers.”

This scheme is based on strategic partnership between the state government via PPPNP with KLK Berhad, Agroto Business, Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Selama and Central Kitchen.
