PETALING JAYA: The police have crippled a drug syndicate with the seizure of over 9kg of drugs.
Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said following an intelligence-gathering, police raided a courier company on Jalan Tandang at around 3.20 pm leading to arresting of three suspects.
According to a press release sighted on the Polis Daerah PJ Facebook, based on the intelligence information received from the checks done earlier, the police conducted a raid around 10 pm and managed to arrest a 27-year-old unemployed man and seized his Toyota Altis in Sungai Way
He said police seized 440 ecstasy pills, 500 Erimin 5 pills, 300grams of ketamine, and 7.14kg of a powdery substance believed to be drugs in that raid.
About an hour later, the police arrested a 24-year-old foreign woman during a raid in Bukit Jalil.
The police seized 300g of Ketamin, 500 Erimin pills, 340 Ecstacy pills, and 300g of syabu.
The total weight from the three raids is 9304 grams and valued at RM 181,790.
At the same time, they also seized RM320,000 cash, US Dollar USD 287.00, 1300 Cambodia cash, three gold bars weighing 48g, and some jewelry weighing 24 grams.
Another raid at Taman Klang Utama at around 4 am on Friday and arrested another male suspect.
All three suspects are between 23 to 36 years old and remanded for 7 days starting April 24 to 30.
The case will be probed under Section 39 B Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
