Road to Tokyo program kicks off with Youth and Sports Minister visit

KUALA LUMPUR— The Road To Tokyo (RTT) program kick-started today as it’s the first day of athlete and officer registration.

The training is located at Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM) and Sailing Training centre in Langkawi.

On June 8, the registration will take place at National Sports Council in Bukit Jalil.

To oversee the registration process, Youth and Sports Minister Reezal Merican Naina Merican visited the location.

Based on his Facebook posting, it is learned that the registration process was carried out as planned.

38 trainers, officers and supporting officers including eight Olympic athletes, 1 paralympic athlete, and nine sparring partners will join the program.

All those involved will also go through a routine check-up before participating in the program agenda.
